Great responsibility

By now everyone knows about the situation with the "Ultimate Spider-Man" series, having killed Peter Parker simply to replace him with an ethnic minority character. Being a lifetime Spidey fan, i don't give a damn about race or whatever, but i do take issue with killing off such an idolised character simply to replace him in order to reach a larger audience. Something, from what i've read online, seems to irritate both the African American and Latino communities.

So i made this picture to depict Ultimate Spidey in his glory, keeping watch over the citizens of Manhattan, NY. At least we've got "The Amazing Spider-Man", that'll hopefully keep Peter in the red 'n' blues for many many more years to come
